* The tournament began on Monday 1 July 2019 and finished on Sunday 14th July 2019.
* The defending champion Novak Djokovic retained his title by beating Roger Federer but Angelique kerber was unable to retain her title in women’s single. SimonaHalep was the one to win the title and take the trophy.
Day 1 July 1:
Naomi Osaka was seeded out in her first match of women’s single by YuliaPutintseva with Yulia achieving a score of 7-6, 6-2.Novak Djokovic defeated Philipp Kohlschreiber in his first men’s single with a score of 6-3, 7-5, 6-3.
Day 2 July 2:
Serena Williams outsmarted Giulia Gatto-Monticone and won the match. Roger Federer with 20 Grand Slam titles defeated Lloyd Harris of republic of South Africa by huge margin.
Day 3 July 3:
Novak Djokovic, AnettKontaveit, SimonaHalep and Kevin Anderson won in their respective seeds and emerged victorious by defeating their opponents.
Day 4 July 4:
John Isner put up a tough fight against Mikhail Kukushkinbut was defeated in the last two sets 6-1, 6-4. Serena Williams also fought hard and won against her opponent to proceed further in the tournament.
Day 5 July 5:
Kevin Anderson was defeated by Guido Pella with a score point of 6-4, 6-3, 7-6 and was seeded out of the tournament.Novak Djokovic also won the third round to proceed further in the tournament with full enthusiasm.
Day 7 July 8:
Top players like Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Serena Williams continued with their winning streak by defeating their opponents and proving why they are still the top tennis players.

Serena Williams and BarboraStrycová won their respective quarterfinals matches of women’s single.

Day 11 July 12:
Roger Federer proved to have an upper hand by defeating Rafael Nadal Gentlemen’s Single semifinals. Winning the first set gave Roger some confidence but the second turned the table as he scored 1 against 6 points. By winning the next two sets, Federer made his mark in the tournament.
Day 12 July 13:
Heartbroken Serena Williams walked out of the court and the tournament as she was defeated by SimonaHalep with score of 6-2, 6-2.
Day 13 July 14:
Novak Djokovic turned out to be victorious and lifted the cup by defeating Roger Federer in the finals of Gentlemen’s Singles. Neither of the players was willing to give up but Novak Djokovic got the upper hand and won the tournament.

Diede de Groot and Aniek Van Koot won the wheelchair women’s doubles final.
