- The Traditional Way
The first and foremost way in which the cards could be marked is the traditional way. In this way of card marking one need not to buy any kind of device to complete the job. Folding, bending and cutting some part of the card, are a few of the techniques that you can do if you want to follow this technique. The marking in this way is also done precisely but could be seen through the naked eyes.
- The Invisible Marking
The technique that is mentioned above is outdated now. The marking that one could see through naked eyes is not ideal and every poker player would agree with it. Now, the new trend is to do the marking in such a way that it becomes invisible. This type of mark could only be seen through poker cheating devices. - Back Marked Cards
These cards have a marking on their back and could only be seen through special lenses. Now, these lenses could be the infrared lenses and other devices similar to them. You must have seen these types of cards used in various movies. A lot of people used to think that the glasses that the person in the movie is wearing are magical, but they are infrared glasses and the cards used are back marked cards. You could easily find these marked cards on sale.
- Barcode Cards
We are sure that almost every reader must know what a barcode is. Now, there are three variants in this category. First one is QR pattern card, the second one is a segment card and the third one is an analyzer card. All three cards need detectors to detect their code. These types of cards came into existence in the year 2000 and it has been 19 years that poker players are using them.
There are few other ways too, but these two are the most appropriate and commonly used way of marking the cards. If one wants to mark their cards these will prove as the most convenient way of doing so.
