Galvanized steel tanks system description
Galvanized steel tanks are considered the economical alternative to liquid storage solutions. They can have a circular or rectangular section and represent the most popular storage solution:
- fire-fighting water – PSI;
- drinking water;
- water for irrigation;
- industrial and process water;
- salt water;
- demineralized water;
- wastewater;
- oil and fuel;
- chemical products;
- leachate and liquid biomass for biogas production;
Easy and fast assembly
When installing the bolted steel tanks, no type of mastic for sealing plates is used. The assembly of the galvanized steel tanks is made entirely on site, the panels being reinforced with high-strength screws.
The cylindrical tank assembly solution does not involve working at height. HIGHBERG SOLUTION tanks are mounted “top & down” with hydraulic jacks.
Low maintenance
Galvanized steel sheet panels are made of high-quality steel with a zinc coating of 600g / m2 giving a high degree of corrosion protection.
Where required, sheets with a Zn coating of more than 600g / m2 can be used.
The seal of the tank body is made using a synthetic EPDM or BUTYL synthetic rubber membrane, separating the liquid stored by the reservoir sheet, often an important cause of the corrosive attack. The membrane provides complete waterproofing due to high-density molecular structures that oppose the passage of liquids or vapors. Moreover, this type of membrane resists very well the passage of time and is little affected by weather conditions.
The inner membrane is prefabricated (cut) to fit the dimensions of each tank type (diameter and height).
Thermal insulation of the tank. Standard insulation solution for the tank. If the insulation is to be installed on the inside, polystyrene panels of 50 mm thick (depending on the requirements of the Beneficiary), fixed between the galvanized sheet metal panels and the membrane, using special clamps, will be used. The way the membrane attaches to the edge of the tank, as well as the sealing roof, does not allow the water to contact the insulation.
Tank insulations can be made outdoors with mineral wool, protected with the cut sheet. In this case, where the thermal insulation of the tank is arranged externally, the inner membrane can be removed, the stored liquid is in direct contact with the tank casing. The sealing of the reservoir plates is made by special mastic.
The palette of galvanized steel tanks roofs is large, which is designed/calculated according to location and type of liquid stored.
As in the case of glass-fused steel tanks, galvanized steel tanks roofs can be of the following type:
- Flat roof;
- Conical roof;
- Roof “house” type;
- No roof;
Description of Rectangular Tank System
The rectangular tanks represent the most efficient solution to make the most of the space available for the tank. This type of tank can be used, as well as cylindrical, in various industries (protection and fire extinguishing, water supply, etc.).
The dimensions of the rectangular tank will be made according to the conditions of the site (snow, sell, seismic), but also by the size of the tank location, the available space provided by the Beneficiary.
Maintenance/cleaning and cleaning of the tank, regardless of the purpose for which it is used, prolongs its implicit life of the membrane, being a requirement for galvanized steel cylindrical water storage tanks. Read this.
It can provide complete maintenance and service for metallic water storage tanks.
If the existing reservoir shells are worn (rusty), we can provide you with an efficient service by replacing them and reinstalling the existing hydraulic system, by default customizing by painting or sticking, providing many years of safe operation.
Our service team is committed to providing complete maintenance and service in accordance with the requirements of the water storage tank technical book, thus ensuring its functionality at its optimum parameters over a long period of time.
The solution meets all customers and tank owners with the following service and maintenance services:
- Internal washing of the tank;
- Membrane change;
- Changing the inner/outer insulation of the tank;
- Thermal reservoir insulation;
- Replacement of hydraulic connectors;
- Change the tank table.
Tank mounting is made with chemical anchors system that guarantees the tightness and stability of the tank. The tank can be fitted with accessories tailored to your projects and personalized however you like.
