Let’S Fall In Love

Personally, I feel like early fall is such a pretty time of the year. The light is beautiful and soft (almost like it’s filtered), the leaves start changing colour and it’s not too cold yet. The perfect conditions to basically wear anything you want.

Although I could have easily gone with a knitted dress and bare legs, I felt like wearing my new coat. It has the best of both worlds: a minimal, clean cut and raw edges. Just the way I like it! I mixed it up with stripes (what else!), a red lip, Cutler and Gross Glasses, loafers and mom jeans for a casual chic look.

Talking of falling in love, I’ve been talking about this earlier, and I can’t seem to stop thinking of them ever since: the sparkly socks. I might very well have developed myself a new obsession.

It’s a nice way to keep your ankles warm, but, more importantly, it also helps keeping the winter blues out the door. After all, who doesn’t cheer up from wearing a glitzy pair of socks? You don’t even have to see them, even knowing that you are might give you a boost. Happiness comes in pairs, they say. A pair of socks, in this case!

Yes, another colourful look! Actually, this dress is one of the first items that I got to add more colour to my wardrobe. I figured it was a save option, since you know, stripes. Can’t go wrong with stripes.

Because of the fact that the dress is pretty much a statement piece on its own, I kept the rest of the outfit fairly simple. I would have gone with my trusty black chain bag, but I recently received this baby blue cutie and I figured it would be a nice summery alternative for this look.
